Safety and Antimicrobial Resistance of Mass Administration of Azithromycin in Children 1-59 months in Nigeria (SARMAAN II) is the second phase of child survival implementation research ongoing in seven (7) states of the country and conducted by the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research, Lagos.

Senate Committee on Health Visit

The DG, Professor Babatunde Lawal Salako & the senior management committee hosted members of the Senate Committee on health led by Senator Ipalibo Harry Banigo while on oversight function to the institute.

The committee commended the efforts & achievements of the institute in achievements in public health research.

Pre-qualification Assessment of the CHVG Laboratory by the WHO Audit Team

WHO audit team is visiting NIMR to assess compliance to specific WHO requirements for Pre-qualification Evaluating Laboratory at the Centre for Human Virology and Genomics, NIMR.

Landmark College (Ikorodu) Science Department Explores NIMR for Hands-on Learning Experience

In a bid to broaden their understanding of medical research and its applications, students from Landmark College, Ikorodu Ikorodu embarked on an insightful excursion to the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) on the 3rd of April, 2024.

Led by their dedicated coordinator, Mrs. Faseyitan Ashaye Adenike, the students delved into various aspects of scientific inquiry under the guidance of esteemed professionals at NIMR.
