CReNMD Training

The Centre for Research in Non-communicable & metabolic disease division (CReNMD), NIMR on 14th July 2023 concluded an 8-day hands-on training for research assistants on the use of Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT), Polymerase Chain Reactions, bio-informatics, high-performance liquid chromatography, ELISA & the flow cytometry techniques in the identification of novel diagnostic markers for T2DM to identify an early diagnosis for effective treatment of diabetes.
The training was organized by Prof. Nkeiruka N. Odunukwe the principal investigator of the project and Dr Veronica N. Enya Co-principal investigator

Board of Trustees NIMR Research Foundation visit to NIMR

Prof. Babatunde Lawal Salako, Director General of NIMR, welcomed the Board of Trustees of the NIMR Research Foundation, chaired by Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), Former Minister of Works and Housing on the 25th of July, 2023,

During their visit, the Board members deliberated on how to evangelize financial support for research in Nigeria and also toured the institute’s state-of-the-art research facilities.

The NANNM Lagos State Council courtesy visit to D.G NIMR

On the 19th of July 2023, the chairman of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses & Midwives Lagos State Council Comrade Olurotimi Awojide with the State Secretary Comrade Oloruntoba Odumosu paid a courtesy visit to D.G NIMR and also discussed on research in Nursing and Nurses welfare in NIMR.
