Emory-Nigeria HIV Research Training Program (EN-RTP) 2024

Programme Objective

The overarching goal of the Emory-Nigeria HIV Research Training Program (EN-RTP) is to enhance the capacity of researchers focused on HIV/women’s health research in Nigeria, with the aim of promoting health and wellbeing for women living with HIV. It leverages the existing partnership between Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, and three institutions in Lagos, Nigeria.

  • Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) and affiliates
  • University of Lagos (UNILAG)
  • AIDS Prevention Initiative Nigeria (APIN)

Trainees

The EN-RTP offers long-, medium-, and short-term training of emerging investigators, facilitating their acquisition of the skills needed to pursue an independent research career.  Below is a list of each training track and the requirements to apply:

Senate Committee on Health Visit

The DG, Professor Babatunde Lawal Salako & the senior management committee hosted members of the Senate Committee on health led by Senator Ipalibo Harry Banigo while on oversight function to the institute.

The committee commended the efforts & achievements of the institute in achievements in public health research.
